Dies muss aber nicht die Regel sein, da viele Prothesen in Ihrer Formgebung von diesen Schema abweichen. Das Einsetzen erfolgt, indem Sie die Prothese zunächst unter das angehobene Oberlid schieben und es in dieser Stellung festhalten. Ein geringes Herunterziehen des Unterlides lässt das künstliche Auge in seine endgültige Lage hinter das gleiten. Gegebenenfalls empfiehlt es sich, den Sitz Ihrer Prothese durch einen leichten Fingerdruck auf das Auge zu korrigieren, damit eventuell mit eingedrungene Luft entweichen kann.
